I can't say enough about team --Mike I., Rich S., Johnny S. & Josh D--who moved us. They took exceptional care with our grandfather clock, which was a huge concern of ours. I was impressed with their teamwork--how they would stop and help spot others carrying furniture in so that there was no damage to the house or the furniture. They were helpful in placing furniture and moving it if we didn't like the original placement. They moved rugs to better center the room. They moved furniture in our old house so that rooms weren't empty for showing. There was nothing they refused to do. They were so helpful! I can't recommend them enough! All three guys were very nice and thorough. I was able to go to a meeting for my new home and they stayed to pack everything up and then locked the doors so I could continue putting my new house together. Along with houses selling quickly, little to choose from, and sky-high prices, even if you could find a new house it was nearly impossible to find a mover. Well, Summit came to our rescue and they did a great job. Their guys showed up on time, worked their butts off, and were very pleasant and good-humored throughout the ordeal. Two of the movers drive your items so some of the same people on other side. They use locals to help them. Our estimates were pretty accurate. One a bit higher and one a bit lower. No complaints there. Not one thing was broken. They do combine with other loads if room but everything was marked and we didn't miss an item. We quoted pods but once you add in the help, you have to hire, and storage, prices were equal. Summit did it all, less stress. Less expensive than I thought it was going to be. Items arrived in a week. Good communication from Wheaton and a summit through move. Liked having a local contact. read less
